Bart & Brittany

Bart and Brittany had a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony with their family at the Ginkgo Tree Inn in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  Everything about their day was quiet and intimate.  It was a rainy day from beginning to end, but no one was stressed about it and Bart & Brittany certainly were not going to let a little rain dampen their spirits on their wedding day.   The day when, I quote the groom, " I am getting married to my best friend today, best day of my life!"  They both had their eyes on the most important part of the day, each other.

Their intimate ceremony included a "Ring Warming" where the wedding rings were passed around to each guest so they could say a blessing over the matrimony that was taking place.  The bride and groom also wrote their own vows to each other.  They were truly heartfelt and meaningful words that were very touching to everyone who had the privilege of hearing them.  Immediately following the ceremony the couple "Locked their Love" on the fence at the venue and threw away the key.  All the touching, intimate details certainly added to the loving demeanor of their wedding day and created beautiful memories for everyone to cherish.

After the ceremony the couple and their guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by the Ginkgo Tree Bistro. The following day, Bart and Brittany celebrated their marriage with a reception with their extended family and friends.

As you stroll through Bart & Brittany's wedding day, be sure to take note of the beautiful "Double Wedding Ring" quilt that the bride's grandmother made for them.  It's one I'm sure will become a treasured family heirloom.

Bart & Brittany, my wish to you is that you will always be surrounded by the love from your families and each other that you were on your wedding day.  May you always tackle life's little storms (like rain during your outdoor wedding) with the same grace and dignity,  and always keep your eyes on what's important, each other.
